Grandma's Little 'Elper

Kittens are different today. Mother has turned really older. She's grandmother now. And she has a new helper, to get her through the busy day. What a drag it is, getting old.
Kudos to the man or woman who had put this video on Youtube!

Flag Jack

The sketch of this cat was made a very long time ago, but I never worked the idea out. Actually I am pretty pleased with how it looks like. Maybe I should do more Union Jack cats.
Purple whiskers. Nice.

Bonjour. Je suis Alain-Immanuel, le Chat Sacré de Choucher du Soleil.

It's the Holy Cat of Sun Set in Winter. Walking around, this silver cat is surrounded by enchanting colors. The sides is copper/bronze. First time I used this, though I first planned to use fox brown.

Mini Pusy.

I had a little piece of wood left after sawing the 10 x 10 cm planks. I managed to make a 2.5 x 2.5 cm plank out of it. It's almost a cube... With the new paint brushes I got, it's fairly easy to make such a small cat. I think he looks funny too. It does not really have a name (yet), but since it felt I made this  cat (the cat only, not the background) was finished in maybe 5 minutes (well, it actually took me probably about 15 - 20 minutes in real), I call it my "5 Minute Cat".
"I am BIG!". Isn't he cute?
It's too small to sign on the front, it was even hard on the side...

Jean-Nicolas

I think it has been a long time that I made tigers. I specially like "candy tigers", cat's that look so colorful and bright, that it almost gives you an instant toothache. Why not combine a candy tiger into a holy cat?
I very much like the way this came "out of the paint" (literately translated Dutch expression). First I made the upper part turquoise. After that I painted the whole rest red-brown, the color of my new bought icon. The lot of decoration around the cat does make it look more festive than a holy cat. Doesn't he look so eatable?

Holy King

Beside an icon and some T-Shirts, I also bought ultra fine paint brushes in Antwerp. Ideal for fine-tuning my cats. Specially the whiskers have been pretty problematic on my smaller cats, as even my 000 brush is maybe too big sometimes. I now have a 4-0 and a 10-0 brush. With these brush I can even give the little 1 cm angel cats wings and whiskers. Maybe I should buy a loupe, to finish these cats better.
The text on the cat says"猫の神聖な王", which means something like "Holy King of Cats".
The "Shozu" stamp of approval.

Icon.

A happy new year to my Lucky Cats weblog readers. I hope to make some new special cats this year. I went out shopping in Antwerp. I stopped by the cathedral and bought this icon. My holy cats are inspired by these paintings (in case you didn't had noticed that. Let's see if you find details back in a few of my forthcoming Holy Cats.
Sorry, my cats do not come with a certificate and stamp. They are also not ISO 9000 rated. They are only for your viewing pleasure, so that they make you feel happy and lucky.
