Tortoise waiting

A student saw the "Lime Hunter" a week ago. I told her I thinking of some tortoise cats. I decided to paint a tortoise in the same color scheme as the "Lime Hunter", but in a more mysterious cloudy background and without a lantern. Characteristic for my tortoises is that they often have lost a scute from their tortoise shell pattern.

Apparently this big green guy is waiting for Phoebe. Maybe it's his girl friend. It seems at least he is looking forward for the things to come. Why Phoebe? Frankly just because I always loved that name. When I had a Tamagochi in 1997, I named my virtual pet Phoebe. As I only paint male cats (though sometimes refer to them as pussy), I could not direct name my cat Phoebe.

Viridian Tortoise Cat strollls through the night

Luckily it's more lime green than viridian.  It must have had a fight tonight. One of his scutes is missing from his shell.

Our cat had probably also a fight. Now  he is pretty much wounded. He had a high fever yesterday and now he also got some kind of memory expansion on his head. Yesterday it looked like a 512 Mb or 1 Gb, but this morning it looked like it was an expansion of at least 4 Gb or more.

Is it called a turtle cat in English? In Dutch a turtle cat is a cat with small spots. I translated it in small squared. One had to be different this time. Maybe one fell off. Will it grow on again? Or is it a hidden door? What would be hidden behind it?

Tortoise cats are a bit shy, but also they are curious. Will curiosity win over shyness?
