Star Chasin'

A girl asked me if it was possible to make a cat with a star system theme. So I asked here what she had in mind. She showed me her medallion. I couldn't promise that I could make one, but I at least could try.

So, what do you think. Actually a lot of people wanted to have this silly cat painting.

Deep, Deep in the Jungle...

I must make more of these jungle tigers. This one is named after one of my latest favorite songs by Faberyayo and Tom Trago.

I've served as a laborant in the 121 M.A.S.H. in the early 90's. That's why I made this army style Lucky Cat with the number on it.

A Cat that sweat Pocari

I think this must be one of the strangest product names I have ever heard of. Pocari Sweat. It is well known in Japan and East Asia, but completely unknown to the other parts of the world. When I was in Toky, a group of girls passed me at the station, all wearing their sports clothing. The team was sponsored by Pocary Sweat Ion supply Drink.  All I wondered was, "What is a Pocari and why do you drink it's sweat?". Samba Catta.

A little bit inspired by the Volkswagen Samba Bus Lowrider. It's not the color scheme, but the Low Rider look. This cat is so fat, only the his little toes stick under his belly. Hence the Samba cat. The cat is painted in Signal Orange with a little Signal Green striping. Very minimal design.

Iron Puss

I made this "Iron Man" themed cat for a 50 Gs article about a G-Shock in the similar colors.

TR 909

The best drum machine ever made. Combines analog drums with hats, crash and ride sampled at a rate of 90 kHz. 

A little girl at my school asked for a cat. She liked the military style 808 cat I made and loves pink. The only number I could think on is the 909-er. Instead of TR, I used the first letters of her name and also her name in written in Katakana, so this cat is pretty much personalized. 

 And she wanted a lantern...

Bob

Mini Old Bob on wood. He's painted on a small piece of spare wood. Old Bob seems very wise. He knows the Stars, He knows the moon, he knows the Milky Way (From "The Right Stuff").

Emerald Tiger.

The Emerald Tiger on patrol at night. He's reflecting environmental light, which gives him a beautiful glow in the dark.

Shifty Pete.

For our school play, we needed a "Mondrain" for one of the scenes. The story of the play took place in a Dutch Museum. It looked simple, but it was three days work, with quite some frustration (different types of paint were used, but after some problems, I bought several tubes of acryl paint to work much faster). I had the idea to paint this cat direct after the play, but it took me some months to get me to it.

One of Bram's class mates came over to our house when I was Painting and said: "Ah, a Pete Mondrian". I never stood still by he fact his first name was Pete. As the cat has a shifted Mondrian scheme, I thought "Shifty Pete" would be a proper name.
